The Legacy

The Voice That Would Not Be Silenced.

Dr. Tunji Braithwaite spent his life fighting for the marginalized, challenging corrupt systems, and establishing a precedent for principled legal advocacy in Nigeria.

Dr. Tunji Braithwaite

Born into a legacy of public service, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite emerged as one of Nigeria's most formidable legal minds and human rights defenders.

His career was defined not by the powerful clients he could attract, but by the voiceless citizens he chose to defend. From representing marginalized workers to openly confronting military tribunals during periods of democratic suspension, his courtroom was a theater for systemic change.

Beyond his legal practice, his founding of the Nigeria Advance Party (NAP) was a visionary attempt to dismantle the old political order and replace it with a system rooted in equity, anti-corruption, and genuine democratic representation. He believed that the law must be a shield for the vulnerable, not a sword for the powerful.

The law is merely a suggestion if it does not first serve those who have no power to write it.
